Activities to do with your 2 month old
Here are a few fun ways to encourage your 2 month old's growth and development.
- Your baby is very interested in the sound of your voice - talk and sing to him often. Just chat about what you are doing throughout your day.
- Play a variety of music for your baby to listen to. It's like food for the brain!
- Now she can hold onto objects briefly give a few different rattles with different textures that make interesting sounds. She'll love the sound and feel of these toys in her hands.
- She is gaining more control over her hands so lay her down under a baby play gym and hang some fun objects for her to try and touch and swipe at.
- Place her on her tummy for short periods so she can continue to strengthen her neck muscles and to help gain more neck control.
- Change the pictures near her crib or changing table so that her eyes have a variety of patterns and designs to explore.
- Take her for walks outside in a stroller or sling or carrier, so she can enjoy the beauty of nature.
- Show her interesting pictures in books and read simple books to her.
- Offer your baby lots of cuddles and attention.
- Always smile back when your baby smiles at you and maintain eye contact when you are interacting with your baby.
