Crying basics
Babies cry. Some more than others and some louder than others but they all cry
Babies cry. That is a fact. They cry when they are wet, cold, and
hungry or just need to be cuddled. However, careful research has shown
that babies, no matter how much attention is given to them or where in
the world they live or in what kind of society they are raised in, will
all cry about the same amount of time each day. Thus, it would seem
reasonable to believe that crying is actually a part of early infant
development. Even though it is normal behavior - crying can be
upsetting to parents. Reactions to a crying baby can occasionally
result in serious harm to the child if they are shaken, slapped or
spanked.
So, be patient with your baby – they are just expressing his or her normal development.
